The life and work of Lewis Kenneth (Ken) Erickson

Ken Erickson (1912-1996), born in Harrisburg PA, was a master welder and also held a teaching certificate in English from Shippensburg University. During World War II he was trained as a master welder for the war effort. After, he continued with the welding skills and moved to Chambersburg. He retired after several years teaching welding at the Franklin County Vocational Technical School.

Upon retirement, he resumed his lifelong interest in the art of graphology
and painting. He produced several dozen oil paintings for his extended
family. His favorite subjects were seascapes and rural homesteads.

Ken was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

 

Method of sale is by silent auction.
Bidders both in person and online will be given a bidder’s number. 
Each painting will have a bid sheet where
the bidder can enter their bidder’s number and bid. 
Bidders can continue to up their bids throughout the evening.
Highest bid will claim the painting. 
 
Each original oil painting is framed and ready to hang in your home. 
There are landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes. 
 
Proceeds from the sale will be applied to
the Capital Needs Account to fund church improvements.
